Dr. Ronald G. Fountain
Dr. Ronald G. Fountain of Shaker Heights, Ohio is Executive Counsel to the clients of Falls Communications. He most recently served as Dean of the School of Business at Walsh University in North Canton, Ohio a position from which he retired in June of 2010. Ron is an adjunct professor of management at Walsh and an adjunct professor of financial management at the Weatherhead School of Management. Previously he was the co-founder and Managing Partner of Capital Acceleration Partners, LLC; a value creating business investment firm located in Cleveland, Ohio. He has been actively involved as a senior corporate executive in business finance and management and as a graduate business school professor for many years. Ron’s experience includes serving as the CFO of two large public companies and as a Principal in a significant turnaround management-consulting firm in the Midwest US for seven years. In addition, he served for many years as a commercial banker, President and Chief Operating Officer of a large Public Relations and Investor-Relations firm, and as an executive officer in an investment management firm.
Dr. Fountain has published articles and speaks frequently on effective leadership, financial management and organizational effectiveness. He earned his MBA in 1983 and the Doctor of Management (D.M.) in 1999 from the Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western Reserve University where he was recognized as that school’s outstanding alumnus in 1995. He is an active leadership coach employing the principles of Emotional Intelligence, a discipline where he has earned national accreditation. Ron has served on numerous private sector and not-for-profit boards and is listed in Who’s Who in Finance and Industry, Who’ s Who in the Midwest and Who’s Who in America. He currently is the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of The MetroHealth System in Cleveland, Ohio, Ohio’s largest public hospital.
